Currently the principal bassoonist for the Pops Symphony, Prescott Chamber Orchestra, and the Central Arizona Concert Band, Erin was the Associate Music Director & Conductor for the Pops from 2015-2018.

Erin has taught choir and guitar for over ten years, first in Indiana, followed by Tempe, Arizona, and finally here in Prescott for the Prescott Unified School District at both Mile High Middle School and Prescott High School.

Erin’s educational background includes a BA in K-12 Music Education, as well as formal studies as a conductor with Mr. Orcenith Smith. As a musician, she studied bassoon with Paul Nordby (DePauw University), along with various other faculty at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachussetts.

In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her 2-pound dog, Rory. She am newly married to Jim Sobo, and yes, she did win Prescott Idol in 2014.
