Prescott Symphony Orchestra launches new opportunity for Prescott Area Students

Prescott Symphony Orchestra is very excited to launch a new youth string orchestra! The new orchestra is being launched in support of local school music programs and will train students to become outstanding string players and musicians. Students will study with and play along side coaches from the Prescott Symphony Orchestra, Prescott Pops Symphony and Prescott Chamber Orchestra. Students will have the opportunity to audition for Prescott Pops Symphony when they enter High School. Maestro Joseph Place will conduct the new ensemble. Sarah Walder will be the Program Director.

The Prescott Youth Orchestra is a string orchestra for Prescott area students entering grades 5 through 8. The orchestra is open to violin, viola, cello, and string bass students at beginning through advanced levels. Instruments will be provided through rental programs and may in some instances also be borrowed. The orchestra will meet during the school year at Glassford Hill Middle School in Prescott Valley on Wednesdays at 4 PM. You can find an interest form below.
