With the social and entertainment scenes approaching a measure of normalcy, The Prescott Pops happily announces its 2021-2022 season. Although somewhat abbreviated due to venue issues and an abundance of caution, the season will get under way on December 12, 2021 with the first of three concerts with the theme “The Sound of Joy”. Maestro Joseph Place, Musical Director and Conductor, promises this return to the concert stage to be purely spectacular, featuring many of the seasonal favorites that have delighted area audiences for over 27 years. A second concert, scheduled for Sunday, February 13, 2022, will remind us of “The Sound of Love” with many familiar romantic selections plus a few new ones. On Sunday, May 22, 2022 the orchestra will reprise popular past concerts with favorite selections chosen by the members of the orchestra. All performances will begin at 3:00 pm at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, 1100 Sheldon Street, Prescott, Arizona.

Tickets for the concert season will go on sale on July 6, 2021 and may be purchased online through the website, ycpac.com or from the box office on the Yavapai College campus. In keeping with past policies, sales for the first thirty days will be limited to those who held season tickets for the 2019-2020 season. This will allow these patrons to renew the same seats, add other seats or select different seats from the available pool. Beginning on August 9, 2021 sales will begin for new season ticket purchasers. Beginning September 7, 2021 sales will be open for single concert purchases. All seats are reserved.

The prices for season tickets are: Adult $75, Student (under 18) $5. Individual concert prices are: Adult $28, Student (under 18) $6.

Maestro Place points out that revenue from ticket sales is but one important source of support for the orchestra’s work. During the last year many of Pops most generous donors have redirected some of their support to community needs worsened by the pandemic. We trust that, as those needs diminish, these donors will consider the Pops and the tremendous value it brings to the community’s entertainment scene and educational opportunities. Donations are welcome at the website PrescottPops.com. The Prescott Pops is a 502 (c ) 3 corporation.
