Prescott Symphony Orchestra presents the Prescott Youth Orchestra

Prescott Youth Orchestra is a string orchestra for students in grades 5-8 who want to learn, or who already play, violin, viola, cello or bass. Our goal is to support local schools in their endeavor to create thriving music programs by providing the opportunity for students to play together after school. Our students receive teaching and mentorship from members of the Prescott Symphony Orchestra organization.
Playing music is a great way to have fun and make friends. It has also been shown to reduce stress and improve coordination, confidence, and the ability to focus. Playing music can even boost brain health!
When they reach high school, our students can join their local high school orchestras. Exceptional PYO students can also continue on to play in the Prescott Pops Symphony, where they will continue to receive mentorship from professional musicians. Our dream is to make the Prescott area a haven for string players of all ages.
Scholarships are available.
