Mike Nache, Tenor
Mike began singing at a young age, but gave up music in favor of sports until 1988. Then, at Mesa Community College, he pursued vocal performance as a secondary field of study. While singing in the choir at MCC, Mike also performed in 4 musicals, which included the part of Conrad Birdie in “Bye, Bye, Birdie” in 1992.
In 1999, while living in Prescott Valley, Mike directed the Sacred Heart Church choir on a part time basis. Mike performed with three other men from the same church under the title “The Four Hoarsemen” from 2003 through 2007 in Prescott.
Mike has been a member of the Yavapai College Master Chorale since 2009. His solo opportunities consisted of the tenor parts for “The Creation” and “Lord Nelson Mass” (both by Haydn), “The Messiah” by Handel, and “Elijah”, an oratorio by Felix Mendelssohn. In 2012, Mike performed the tenor solos in the debut of “Misa de Requiem”, by Christopher Eubank. And in 2014 he also sang the tenor selections for the J.S. Bach “Mass in B minor”.
Most recently, Mike performed the coveted roles of Marius in “Les Miserables” for the Prescott Fine Arts Association, and Archibald Craven in “The Secret Garden”. He has also done solo work with the Prescott Pops since 2010.
Mike was born in Rock Island, Illinois, in 1967. He has spent most of his life in Arizona, and has lived in Yavapai County since 1998. Mike, and his wife, Joy, currently live in Dewey and are raising 10 children. Mike is also a State Farm Insurance agent in Prescott Valley.
